Compared with a typical meeting at a bar, meeting someone online is more convenient because conversation is freer and e-mails are often more reliable than a drunken conversation. While one leads a hectic life, online dating allows the individual to control his or her social life in a way that his or her time allows. One can choose who to chat with, when to reply, and when to meet offline. But before you can get to that point, you've to first create your online profile. To do this, you must know yourself and your expectations very well. An accurate photo and an arresting headline will do the trick. But be wary: just because your prospect's profile says he/she is funny doesn't mean that he/she is your ideal "funny" mate. After all, there's Monty Python-humor and South-Park humor.
