Dating Singles Are Seeing Green
What qualities or traits do you usually think about as being dating deal breakers? Are political view or religious belief high on your list? What if they don't want any children or are not keen to having pets? How about being green and having a commitment to conservation? Surprisingly, your attitudes about the environment could be just as important as your status as a smoker.
Perfectmatch.com conducted a multiple choice survey of its four million members about environmental and ecological issues. More than 16,000 singles responded. The survey showed that more than a whopping 80% of daters between the ages of 30 and 59 feel that a partner's feelings of ecologic responsibility is an important contributing factor to a healthy relationship.
Apparently people who are environmentally conscious usually don't feel compatible with others who don't share their passion for conservation. Only 6% of the survey respondents felt confident they could be in a marriage or long-term relationship with someone whose recycling practices and concern for the Earth doesn't mirror their own. Twenty eight percent of the people surveyed said that a partner's commitment to the environment is a deal breaker.
Other interesting facts the survey revealed:
Because this survey showed Perfectmatch how important ecologic and environment issues are to singles, it added questions about these issues to its Duet Total Compatibility System, which is billed as being more effective than any relationship tool on the Web.
So don't be blue if you're still single - think about being green!
