Date With a Clean SlateWomen often date the bad boy, the one they think they can change, but chances are you will be the one to change and not always in a good way. If you are going to meet someone that you can share your life with, you have to step outside of your old matchmaking patterns and get yourself motivated. The guy you slept with last week may be great between the sheets, but if you are honest with yourself, that is about all he is good for. You may even find him silly, boring and even annoying outside of the bedroom. So why are you still clinging to him? A man that takes you out and wines and dines you may seem like the perfect guy, but is there chemistry between you? Is he doing all this to impress you or is he really into you? If you find you are still dating someone just because of the places he takes you and not because you are looking forward to that goodnight kiss, perhaps it is time to let go of this unnecessary appendage as well. If you have a male friend with benefits that loves to watch TV and not much else, you may try and talk yourself into thinking he will change eventually. No chance; a couch potato today will be an even bigger couch potato tomorrow. Women have a tendency to grow and change as the relationship progresses, and men like this rarely do. They are more than content to yell from their easy chair, "Honey, bring me another beer please" or "Not tonight, there's a big game on." If you want to make room for a real relationship that is going to go somewhere, you will have to get rid of the crutches before you can do that. It might be hard and a bit scary, but if you want to find that special match, you will have to fly solo until the right one comes along.
