His personals dating site has started to gain exposure in the mainstream press for focusing so specifically on Christian gay and lesbian singles. The site comes as a second web offering from Cannon, who also runs TruthSetsFree.net, a site that discusses the relationship between homosexuality and Biblical scripture. What this example shows, beyond a keen marketing acumen for Cannon, is that love and the desire for a relationship is not restricted to a particular class of people and neither should online dating sites neglect to serve some portion of the singles population. Thankfully, that seems not to be a problem as niche-dating sites now exists for a full slate of individuals hoping to meet someone just like them. Cannon's efforts also highlight a heartening combination of sexuality and religion, recognizing that no matter the sexual orientation, some people have a desire to keep faith as a cornerstone of a lasting relationship. That desire is being ably served by Cannon and those with sites like his, drawing in a better group of potential mates by limiting the field in such a way. Cannon's other web pursuit, debating the interpretation of Biblical scripture often used to denounce homosexuality, not only serves an important purpose in the gay community, but gives the dating site he runs credibility that might otherwise be lacking if the impression had been that a large company simply set up the site to cash in on the demographic.
